You can use InterNEDI to distribute new versions to those of your customers that need them and keep track of when they have received them. You can charge them for updates, and get info back from them if necessary. When more than just new files are needed, you can send upgrade programs to be executed remotely to perform the necessary changes.

Charge your customers for their updates As the Super User, or member of the Super Group, you can put a charge on a file when you send it. When your customer downloads the file, a record is kept of the fact. At the end of the month, you have three options:

  • We send you a breakdown of total charges per customer, and you follow up yourself.
  • We send email invoices to your customers, and they pay you directly.
  • We send email invoices to your customers, direct-debit them and credit you.

In addition, you can set a monthly subscription charge (individually per customer), and also a charge for the customer to upload files (individually per customer).

Make money from your upgrades, without having to worry about billing, invoicing etc.

Set individual discounts per customer, and even make money from their sending files to you.
Automatic working InterNEDI can be programmed to do a sequence of tasks each time it is run. Your customers can be set up to look for new daily/weekly/monthly updates and then automatically fetch the new file/s and update themselves.

Execute files remotely We know from our own experience that software upgrades often entail not just replacing files, but actually doing various tasks at the user site such as modifying data files, changing particular things, and various other tasks. With InterNEDI you can send a program which will be downloaded AND EXECUTED from inside InterNEDI. Your program returns an error code (hopefully zero) in the same way as a file receipt confirmation message. You can set the file to send confirmation as well, to let you know that it was received properly, and how it went when it was run. If for some reason you don't want the program executed from inside InterNEDI, you can choose it to be executed after InterNEDI has terminated. Its error code is kept and sent back to you the next time InterNEDI is run.
